While it is almost statistically certain that other intelligent life exists in the universe, it is just as certain they never will, nor ever have visit Earth.

Some of the reason is the logistics, and that propulsion physics are the same everywhere.

But the bigger reason is that in order for life to evolve safely, especially to that degree of sophistication, the environment has to be extremely distant from active stellar phenomenon, which means each other as well. So they do not visit each other either.

The only exception would be if two planets happened to produce and sustain life long enough for it to advance in the very same star system at the same time by extreme coincidence.

Earth isn't in the greatest, safest location either, and has been nearly demolished numerous times.

So the farther away a star system is from the busy center of a galaxy, the more likely it can produce life. But at the same time, the dispersion means it is also likely to be extremely distant from other such planets. Planets mean stars nearby, and many stars together means a lot of disruptive stellar activity.

So we are all likely to never see each other.
