Has a console series every been as badly mismanaged as the Xbox?
I was thinking Sega, but I don't think Sega ever ruled a console generation. It was always sort of an underdog.
Then maybe Atari, but ultimately Atari was killed by the video game crash of the 80s which basically killed everyone except Nintendo.
Its nothing like having a bunch of hits just fall in your lap, soaring to the top spot and ruling the 2000s, only to squander it all on fucking gimmicks while your exclusives all jump ship, go multiplatform or are abandoned by the developer and have to be worked on by a bunch of retards (Halo.) I know that Bungie went to absolute shit pretty much immediately afterwards, but it still makes no fucking sense that Microsoft let them go. What a bunch of clowns.
