Oberstein is potrayed as a slimey self serving douche and you think that hes just gonna undermine everything reinhard is building and he gonna betray at some point in the future but no he is so much more complicated than that
he might be the most loyal character in the show
He immedieatly throws himself infront of Reinhard when he was being assassinated and even gives his life in the end to make his last few moment on his deathbed more bearable
