what is an electro-magnetic field? right, an electromagnetic flow. what does electricity, or "power" for mind-nogs, do when flowing through a ferro-magnetic metal? it heats up due to the material resistance to the electric flow. the stronger the field the quicker the metal heats up. thats basic EM-physics. you wouldnt be able to usw a induction-stove or a wireless recharger otherwise.

MW act somewhat similar but have their main-induction in the range of hydrogen. you still shouldnt put metal into a MW anyway.
