What’s the point of going to engineering school? It would take me two years to get an associates degrees then another 2 years to get a bachelor’s degree. And after that I will start to see money after hopefully landing a gig. This all seems like to much work with a very questionable payoff.

Who uses these subjects in the real world outside of government and universities?

Tech is overwhelmingly competitive. And there are layoffs.

My friend has a degree in engineering from UTD he can’t find a job and living with his parents. He got layed off and can’t find a job. With a degree from a top ranked university.

I’m just doing trades bro. I’ll buy my tools and work with my hands for money. College seems like an absolute waste of time
