I started playing the Onmyoji card game after being fed up with pay2win slop like Marvel Snap and it's actually quite good. It uses the MtG color system but card pools are split into unique "characters" that you draft cards from. For instance, if you want to play Blue, you might have one character with a lot of draw spells, one character with counterspells, one who can mill the opponent's deck, etc and then you build a deck around 4 of these characters and pick and choose cards from each of them.
The balance is good and there's no powercreep, characters from launch sets are still viable. Very f2p friendly as well. It's a shame the game isn't more popular, it deserves to be.
