I did look up that one, but since for most of us it'll be our first time we've booked lodging on the usual big cities to visit, Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka, we'll also visit Nagoya and maybe Kobe, but if I were to go all the way up to Nikkō I'll have to do so alone and deal with the locals pointing at me for being a stinking gaijin since it's so out of the way.

I may end up just going to the Shonenji Temple in Kyoto, even though it is a small one.


I wouldn't put it out of the question doing an autistic roundtrip to Nikkō, but it'd mean like 3 hours by train just on the one way trip.
