People's expectations for what is "remembered" are retarded.
No he isn't going to still be same level as Mickey (who only is because of the company and park mascot status, not his content) and he's not going to be a mega-hit so far after his era, but he is a character still discussed and selling product 100+ years after getting made. He has fared better then 99.999999% of characters over 50 years old, let alone 100.
