Another thing, during gameplay the game doesn't render shit super far away, you will notice as you move through some environments that the distance is masked in shadow or fog (like the fog of the town) and the camera is sometimes used to hide that as well. Recorded an example for you.
This goes back all the way to SH1 where the fog is masking the fact that the town is only loading the immediate area around you while you move.
