There's so much this game could do right, but didn't. Melee combat is just the most egregious example. I can't get over the fact that it feels like something from 2010. There's one fucking knife stab animation, ONE. The slow shield penetration looks like a faggy poke or smth. Jesus Christ its comical just how half assed and bad it is! It's 20 fucking 25, for Gods sake, is it too much to expect fun combat mechanics from a game based on Dune? You know, the universe where everybody fights with fucking knives and swords? The whole game in general hass MAss Effect 1 vibes, especially once you get to Arrakeen and Harko. Think about it, and you won't be able to unsee it, that's 2008 design. For Christs sake, there are three types of enemies, guy with sword, guy with gun, guy with minigun, and two of those can have shields, that's it. And you seriously expect a fucking thrall mechanic? Those Funcom incompetents couldn't make it work properly in Conan for a decade now.

In short, I don't even know why this game has kept my attention for as long as it has. I guess that's why I'm so annoyed. I want to like it, but I just can't
