there's a slight drop from the 2022 to 2024 (around 20-30k people), 2023 to 2024 (around 10k); the population decline is natural there since this is an old game and all that so this level of player decline is to be expected.

but look at that drop from 2024 to 2025, we went from losing 10-20kish people gradually year after year to suddenly losing 110k people.

what could have happened that trigger this sudden drop-off inbetween 2024 to 2025?
