I support this too.
The reason why Russia stopped being an ally and allied with France instead was because Austrias expansions in the balkansincluding orthodog serbroaches which is russias baby as the protector of all orthodogs and Germany being in those balkan matters always on the side of Austria. This was clearly wrong and we should have said to Austria to shut up and stay away from those areas.
Losing Russia as an ally is much worse that Austria which was a weak mess of an empire.
But hindsight is everything like usual.
