The original disagreement was about companions, not a non-character. This was obvious to anyone with common sense, but you just wanted to post something ugly and irrelevant. You are like the swine that has nothing to contribute, except finding some pretext to post its slop of the day. Good job, piggy.
There are legitimate aspects about companion characterization to criticize - no writing is perfect - but how quickly they can bond is not one of them. Claiming that this is not how strangers behave when "pressed into a life or death situation" is not only wrong but also clumsy. It seems to imply that storytelling should be about people in general, not individuals with distinct personalities who can voice their disapproval, learn to tentatively trust, find common ground, fall in love. The player can relate and grow attached to characters, not so-called "grounded" sociological cliches.
