the one on the right has superior blending on the hair and jaw with the missing nose and sockets giving it a gritty corpse look, the one on the left looks like a green human and it's features looking like parts you'd snap on to an action figure giving it a plastic look
and like he said, nobody ever denied wow looked toony in fact it was what made WC3 and wow charming, but there where still harsh and gritty detailed added to the tooniness, sunken-in harsh eyes, open wounds, pustules, hanging guts and blood, those things made it darker and edgier much to its benefit kind of like old warhammer fantasy art, exaggerated to all hell but still violent and brutal
thankfully warhammer moved to gritty dark fantasy realism which looks fantastic, but imagine for a moment they went with a calarts style instead? That's what it's like for wow in this new vs old debate
