i think you're putting that limit on yourself, you can do or skip literally everything you want including the "required" shardbearers
ive 100%ed the game twice and my 3rd playthrough recently i just bumrushed everything for my build and skipped a lot of side dungeons i'd already done 2 times over, took maybe ~30-40 hours total, roughly same as ds3 maybe ~5 hours longer?
