Tenna met Spamton in his Big Shot days because Kris and Noelle played with the library laptop as little kids, so a pretty long time ago. Whoever you think the Knight is doesn't matter when they probably weren't anywhere near becoming the Knight by then and even still, why would the Knight teach a random crappy salesman how to make a million dollars? I can see Spamton being used as a pawn in a long-game to get Tenna desperate enough to end up Cleaved for the prophecy, but suggesting that it was Gaster implies there was some other endgoal to it and I just can't see what the hell it could be.
