This is the sweetspot, you get 2 people learning as they play, getting into it, feeling the passion and tension of a close fight that makes you want to keep coming back to it. The problem is, if you keep playing you literally cannot remain an intermediate player, which brings us to the worse parts

Complete domination that isn't really fun for anybody. The good player doesn't get any quality fighting from their opponent and the bad/inter player don't get the chance to learn anything from the exchanges because of how fast and overpowering they are.

High level play stops being fun because you no longer share the passion for learning and fun, you care about winning, and you will only do what's optimal, there is no discovery and no bonding through combat, it's just the objective of earning a W.
