At least in my area, houses are expensive because of covid migrations. In 2020 with the BLM riots and covid, cityfaggots fled the shithole they voted to make a shithole and flooded my housing market. They were legitimately buying entry level houses that were affordable to middle and lower class people for double sometimes triple the real price. Boomers then got greedy and kept doubling and tripling their asking price for years, which they're still doing. Then of course interest rates are still too fucking high and a monthly mortgage payment is way too expensive.

It's unsustainable and it has resulted in house buying slowing down greatly. It'll crash soon, you can already see it coming down but it's still too high.
