General decay naturally happens when there is no news; "normal" posters move on, leaving threads in the custody of the most deranged and autistic ritual, wife, and image posters. Contrary to idiot belief, you do need a nucleus of somewhat well adjusted anons interested in talking about the gameplay and writing - and not just anons cumming into their daki and posting sexy FE pics - in order to keep the blood flowing.
