I pick the color according to the Jedi discipline/fighting style. Guardians=Blue, Consular=Green, Sentinel=Yellow. Sith is always red. Sometimes purple for Sorcerer. Orange is a muddied color that the ancients used.

The rest are for snowflake NPCs.

I think nuStar Wars was the one who just did fuck all with all of that and made crystals into mood rings.
