It's not that it's bad, Legends is fantastic, it's just not quite as good as Origins.

>every level transitions into the next level
>moving from the jungle world to the desert world visibly shows you moving from one to the other with the time of day changing to night
>this applies throughout the game
>by the time you get to the end of Moody Clouds after fighting your way through the mountains and an entire city it feels like you've been on a massive adventure (and you have)

>Legends
>every level is accessed from a straight line 2D hub world

We didn't deserve a platformer as great as Origins.
