Yeah, probably. I used to have a >>105640563 and it died after 1 year. Honestly I just miss that giant soundstage those provided. Neither my LCD-2s, Aeons or HD600 give anything close to that. Out of those I've auditioned HD800s were similar but the treble fucking killed me. I wanted to get the Verum 2 but apparently you can't even fucking buy those anymore. Maybe I'll just get a used Arya for like <300 bucks so even if it dies it won't be too much of a loss...

Auditioned both HD800s and HD820. HD800s have much better soundstage and imaging than 99% of headphones. The treble fucking sucks but with EQ they'd probably be pretty great. Build quality seemed worse than HD600 but I only tried them for like half an hour so I might be wrong. HD820 on the other hand is awful and fucking sucks.
