Setting up moves that attack the opponent afterwards is important. Your panic attacks will be different depending on the boss because not everyone has a consistent panic timer and there's also obviously fighting multiple enemies as well where positioning can be more important.
And this is different from Nioh combos how? In your scenario where your horn break what is changing your combo if there are no other enemies? You're going to be doing the same shit. In Nioh it's the exact same with an added bonus, you're using weapon and yokai skills as much as possible because those deal the most max ki damage which pushes and enemy closer to getting fully ki broken. Yokai abilities cost a special meter but all of the best yokai abilities are cheap and that meter is RARELY if EVER an issue.
Also you spam light attacks but like I said, there are very good offensive skills, skills that give you good mobility, ones with defensive properties. You're completely ignoring those and saying you just spam light attacks....
There's a lot of skill expression when you actually get good at the game and are fluidly style switching. Nioh's stance switching isn't nearly as useful in the sense that you're chaining between each stances different attacks and skills. Niohs stance switching is for more ki and for low stance to have superior dodges. That's not to say it never happens just that it's not something you feel the need to do as much outside of fists which very directly encourage you to do so (and that's part of why it's such a fun weapon to use)
