Literally no one is rioting in the streets that there is not enough killing in Duck Comics. If you want to make silver age sill cape shit stories where the flash fights a guy who can turn himself into a living boomerang go for it, no killing needed.
However if you are trying to make your capeshit mature and for adults and the villains are actually psychos who kill people you start having a massive disconnect and the suspension of disbelief is shattered.
Either make a mature story where the heroes kill or make silly stories for children. Also can DC/Marvel get their shit together? Like they try to have their characters swear however it is always interrupted by the plot. Either make your le mature capeshit have real swearing or do not even try!
