I always liked the game on the Genesis. It was an early Genesis game that I remember renting when I was young. The game had a nice rouge gallery of villains. The game felt like it was made using the same level editor as Revenge of Shinobi. Or at least the same 'engine' as Michael Jackson's Moon Walker. Early Genesis action games from Sega all have a similar feel to them. I like the photo mechanics and the mild RPG-ish elements. It's not an impressive looking game. The box art was always confusing too. As it was just called Spider-Man... but when you boot up the game it is called Spider-Man vs The Kingpin. I never really played the Sega CD version much. It has some wacky looking FMV and it seems like it has extended game play from the Genesis game.
