The Apostolic Succession is merely the continuation of the Rabbinic Succession that Jesus himself undergone

To be a Rabbi requires Semikha from another Rabbi. This is a succession that links all the way to Moses. Jesus requiring John the Baptist's Semikha in order to become a Rabbi is a testimony to the fact that the chain was never broken
