Carty was a good pick to go all out. Once you get enough corals you can buy dupes for characters (up to 2 dupes)

No idea but due to the fuck up in 1.0 and having to scrap the whole story they are still playing catch up and their studio was very small back in 1.0 and only thanks to WuWa they started hiring and growing so the various cuts and stops might be related to not having enough time.
