Well heres an exercise that you should tackle to make sure that you can enjoy drawing(or at least tolerate enough to get your story across).
Forget fundies, forget drills and all that. Just make an honest attempt at drawing your characters for the story. It doesnt matter how crude it is, just make the attempt. Try drawing a key interaction between characters, a basic character sheet, porn, whatever. Just draw your characters. If you can draw them and enjoy doing that, then congrats you enjoy doing the actual creative fun part of drawing and you just gotta put up with fundies long enough to be satisfied with making your characters look the best they can.
Everybody points to ONE but look at shit like Toby Fox's art. All his initial sketches are all assy and not completely how they would end up being but he is exploring these characters. The same process is done by more higher profile artists with the initial sketches of their characters, but i point to Toby specifically cause I dont know how high your standards are but those standards should not be a hinderence. Even if your characters look like these shitty sketches, if you enjoy doing that, then your golden. If you dont find yourself enjoying the actual fun creative parts of drawing, then I wouldnt bother doing fundies and shit. Ive been doing this shit for years and I wasnt good for most of it, but I still liked drawing my characters in that interim anyway.
