Also another thing, Hamas' version of Islam has some things going for it. Those guys are disciplined, they go to bed early, brush their teeth. Even if you think the religion is nonsense, the social organization it attaches to is not. In Gaza, they run everything and it appears that Israeli intelligence there is poor. Hamas has their own counter-intelligence network with cab drivers and people like that who see and hear everything.

It's different with Fatah guys. They have that too, they sus out spies, but I don't think they're the same. You ever watch these Palestinan celebrations in Jenin? Of course the Shin Bet is watching all of this and running everybody's face into an image recognition system. They have informants. But the vibe is more typical Arab gangster mafia. They can go out and blast in the general direction of an IDF expedition into Jenin before running away, but they can't mount the kind of battalion-sized forces that Hamas did.
