Because anime isn't filled with anti male rehtoric, anime has actual stories and doesn't insult it's audience.
People want good stories and funny comedy and anime is the only animation medium providing that.
If you make a shitty product people are gonna flock to something else and no amount of insults and gaslighting will change that.
It's just the 2000s all over again, anime is mainstream and people want it over cartoons.
