Granted, welcome to Pokémon. I'm sure you are familiar with the concept of taking fossils and using them to resurrect long-extinct monsters. Well, one time in the Galar region, some scientist fucked up by mistakenly mixing two halves of two different fossils, creating some frankly sad-looking monsters.
So the scientist "improved" the revival machine so that it could be used on just one half of a fossil, with the other half being reconstructed through a complicated process involving pattern AI and biological mapping. Well, that fucked things up even more, because the machine ended up "resurrecting" a fossil by hybridizing it with the scientist's assistant, resulting in the first hybrid between Pokémon and human... and also an ancient STD that was in that same fossil.
Fast-forward a few decades... The virus has infected pretty much every Pokémon on the planet, making them significantly more sexually aggressive or just plain aggressive. Being injuried can result in being infected with the virus. If you're male, this does nothing; if you're female, there's a chance that you'll end up being transformed into a Pokémon-human Hybrid. The virus constantly mutates, so a vaccine is impossible; that same mutation is also the reason why the infected can transform into any kind of monster, regardless of the type of monster they were infected by. If you are in the early stages of infection, there are treatments that have a good chance of nullifying the transformation... or, using DNA samples, steering it in favor of a particular monster form.
While Hybrids are significantly hornier than regular humans, they lack the aggressivity that Pokémon possess. In fact, Hybrids tend to go the opposite way, being more submissive towards people they find attractive. Usually humans, although often hybrids might end up feeling attracted to monsters as well. Hybrids also possess supernatural powers, less powerful than full monsters but backed up by their human intelligence.
