the issue was multiple expansion keeping the cap the same while expanding content and not fully invalidating the work you put in, only for one day, after a bunch of expansions for them to throw that all away, imagine if OSRS raised the level cap on skills to 199 and the new gear you get handed to you blows the fuck out of everything immediately. shinryu was the biggest red flag being required to beat, easy as fuck and handed you an item better than one of the rarest best belt in the game prior. fuck everything after 75
