It's kind'a hilarious how the localisation failed to show just how grating and obnoxious his manner of speaking was, especially to someone like Morgana.
It's probably just that we don't have any concept of speaking with elegance like a lot of Eastern countries do (funny enough, Indian friend of mine was bemaoning that Pakisani's speak more elegant Hindi than most Indians).
So we're left with this rivalry between him and Morgana that 100% just feels like Morgana constantly flipping out and insulting Ryuji for no reason, and then immediately sulking for attention the second he gets even a little bit of grief back. You're meant to have seen it as Ryuji getting on Morgana's case the entire game until that point, but it just didn't come across at all.
