Without Keiji Inafune and Kazuhiro Tsuchiya working for Capcom anymore, I wonder if anyone at Capcom even still cares.

Everything was accelerating at breakneck speed and devs had to match it. That's why AAA studios pumped out new games almost annually. Console gens also had to accommodate for it, so they were much shorter too.
