Why are PM so expensive right now? I'm guessing

>Whole world investing in wall street
>US stonks are 60% of the worlds' stock value now
>huge everything bubble, massive govt debt, private debt
>people now investing in PM as a 'safe alternative'

Isn't it pretty much a given that all of this will come crashing down eventually, whether in two years or in a decade ...? I'd love to buy some gold but it's no use investing in it right now as a long term investment with these kind of prices.
