If you are looking for a second job that will eat all your free time doing pointless things and being forced to explore every nook and cranny, then Wuthering Waves ver 1.0 map is just the right place. It's just like Genshin and will take you 3-5 months to completely explore without using a guide.
If you are looking for fun time exploring maps, running around at the speed of sound, and flying all over the sky, then Wuthering Waves ver 2.0 map is just the right place. Unlike Genshin, you can explore the map at your own leisure and they'll even provide you with a checklist to finish every available task in the map. You can probably finish exploring this map in 1-2 weeks. Septimont unlocks in later chapters which will take a few days of exploration.
After finishing the tutorial, you can easily skip to ver 2.0 map if you don't care about the story and just want to have fun.
