The first movie was already pretty shit compared to the novels, and I imagine the follow ups won't do much to improve on that front.
Especially since so much of the Hathaway novels and what makes them interesting and good is how focused they are on the inner monologues of the characters, something the films almost entirely lack and do nothing to make up for their loss.
Like, people say Hathaway's character was REDEEMED or some shit in the movies, but that's not how he's supposed to be at all. He's supposed to be like Katz but as an adult.
