except it isn't actually a budget surplus and they're lying again. the budget is increasing our debt but tariffs reduced the amount our debt increased by 27 billion, which wasn't in the budget, so they are calling that exact number a "budget surplus" despite there being no budget surplus and our debt is still increasing. i fucking hate it here.
