whatever you do, don't buy a bow and arrow, they are legal, you can buy one, right now, but you shouldn't. slingshots too, under no circumstances should you purchase and practice with the ones with the steel ball bearings, they are quite destructive.
air rifles are totally out of the question as well, legal and for sale in lots of places, but come on, would you really want a breech loading rifle that shoots lead pellets with enough force to penetrate hard materials like plywood? don't be some kind of melt. own nothing and be happy!
