yes of course, I'm working with the CPU for now and it works fine. I did all the windows updates, chipset drivers, just can't get the GPU to work

when I plug my monitor into the GPU I get no display, only from the motherboard

when the GPU is not inserted into the PCIe slot, the display does not turn on. I think the GPU is installed correctly, i just can't get it to work

Do I have to use a monitor which has a display port driver, otherwise the GPU ignores it? I'm testing with an old HDMI monitor...
