its more just it comes across as frustrating that the monsters are treated as precious babies who can do nothing wrong but literally two enemies will go out of their way to no actually try to kill you.
i get its a video game and that i shouldnt take the world of it seriously and engage with the narrative toby wants to tell and the journey or whatever. Its more that the monsters are treated with kid gloves while you're actions are scrutinized and critiqued.
like the game bluntly says that even if the monsters got free to the surface again the humans would just wipe them out so all this violence is for LITERALLY NOTHING good.
