Good games already give players the sufficient tools to control the pace of the dialogue, text speed, or even the cutscenes. Any game that doesn't do this or even worse forces you to go through:
>unskippable cutscenes
>forced walk and talk sections
Is a shit game not worth your time. Sakurai understands. I wish more romhacks did what Pokemon Emerald Rogue did, allowing the player to speedup dialogue, item pickup and even battle animations without having to use the emulator fast-forward feature. You could play the game at a snapping pace without sacrificing the music. It really was a breath of fresh air
