Not quite. It is a DisplayPort to HDMI. You see, my HP Elitebook has DisplayPort output, but my TV, a 2010 HD Panasonic model without wifi capabilities, has HDMI input.

No. It is strictly for DisplayPort output from my HP Elitebook to my 2010 Panasonic HDTV. I made sure to match the output to input when purchasing the cable.
