I saw the catbox.moe guy getting similar criticisms on /g/ despite serving 1000 terabytes to an estimated 1 million users per month. Poor guy does it for free, even operating it at a loss, and there's still anons telling him he's not doing enough. Actually I'm operating Duolicious at a loss too because advertising on 4chan costs substantially more than running the server, and I don't include that in the monthly Ko-fi goal.

What are you trying to do? View unverified profiles? There's a filter to only view profiles without images. That might be close to what you want

Pretty much. If you skip someone, it frees up a slot in the search results. But it can only be filled by a worse match because the algorithm always tries to show you your best matches. The ordering happens based on Q&A answer rather than skips/messages.

It might be because increasing your distance introduced enough matches that the algorithm decided to promote verified profiles. Someone asked a similar question here:
