Starship will never work. There is no fucking way that thing is ever landing on an uneven surface on a planet or the moon. The thing is too big, doesn't have the structural integrity, heat shielding is shittier than the shuttle and it's just too fucking big and unwieldy.
It's best to use it just a super heavy cargo lifter to then construct a huge spaceship in space itself.
Either way, China is most likely making it to the moon and mars first.
