i've got one of these, which is actually a small oven (plus grill, reheater, toaster etc) but is also an air fryer

only got it because the main oven is too big and it replaces a lot of other appliances - don't have a microwave

no real difference between the air fry function and oven function except for the fan speed (which you can control on the oven function to the same)

I don't eat processed foods, which all people with air fryers tend to cook... but it's still just a small oven
