I didn't understand what people meant by that until I played Rebirth. Imagine WoW world quests in a single player game, and that's what the "content" of this game is like. It has no respect for the player.
Lots of Japanese games have content that doesn't affect the story (Yakuza, for example), but they're still not copy paste shit like FF7 Rebirth. It's so low quality.
