His overconpensation for masculinity and STRENGTH, it reminds me of trans men who were raised on traditional ideals (like a certain hemo-obsessed troll we know?) Trying to break free of "female" brained activities and becoming a gymbro. Or doubling down on the traditional beliefs but as the oppressor rather than the oppressed.
Not to mention excessive sweating, high libido, heightened aggression, all probable side effects of testosterone. Plus is stupid tank top he always wears resembles a binder.
Hes also clearly an autistic deviantart kid who has a fixation on some weird fetishes and has highly specific interests (fetishes like.. hypermuscle equine furry bara pinups..for example..) and clearly cant communicate properly with others, unable to bond with women nor men (unless they're equally as autistic, like Nepeta. Whose more of a "hyperactive eccentric" autistic as opposed to an "avoidant and emotionless" autistic like Equius)
His constant need to be given fucking directions and be told what to do despite presenting as a manly dude man guy. And him switching between wanting that and wanting to be in command and in charge, and his inability to really stick to either. That screams trans man/ femrepper with extreme internalized misogyny.
And having an unashamed autistic furry girl as his only real friend, he was kind of starting to break out of that mold and be comfortable with being vulnerable while also maintaining control over himself, because he had such a non-judgemental partner to tolerate him. But before any character progress could be made, he, like many trans men, get "put in their righteous place" and ripped out of that awful tranny phase. Story-wise, he was cut short and killed off and thats the end of Equius. We never know if he overcame his hemoist prejudices or learned to be more social with the help of such an outgoing extrovert like Nepeta.
Sad. Many such cases.
