I expected a time gimmick, you play two characters but in two different time periods and you can swap between them like you do in V with a parallel running story like Godfather 2

Would've been perfect for Vice City given that modern Miami is shit but they have to include it for all the cars and technology people are used to from V, so we could have both that and the kino 80s Miami and music that everyone actually likes
