I had the European version of Splatoon 1. One of the reasons I didn't get the sequel (or a Switch, which I bought alongside the third game) was that I was completely off put by the Treehouse translation (the only English trnaslation for S2). Not feeling the new idols and disliking the removal of every single special and most subs, i never looked back.
